I removed the rear plate in the pipe by drilling off the pop nails. In my case it did not came off,(I heard it should) so I cut it off with a screwdr. and a hammer by hitting the screwdriver while put in one of the holes, to the next hole ,and so on till the circel was completed. With the end-plate came off a 5 to 6" silencer.I now have just the right sound!Loud, but not anoying; it just fits the bike!I also turned the small screw on the right-side top of the carb a quarter to the left, and there was no longer any backfiring at all!!!It also feels like an increase of hps!If you're looking for a good sound, just use your stock-pipe, but remove the rear plate in it along with the silencer! No more pom, pom, pom but now BOM,BOM,BOM! Good luck! The Tenman!
